As a mother, I understand. We wait, hoping someone, often our husband, will capture those sweet, candid moments of us with our babies. But more often than not, it doesn’t happen. We have to ask, which makes it feel forced. So eventually, we stop asking… and we end up missing from the photos.


Instead, we settle for selfies because that’s all we have. I know this from personal experience. When I look back at my photos, most of them are selfies. Rarely do I see those genuine, unposed moments of me simply being present with my children.


That’s why, when I want to be in the pictures fully present, without worrying about capturing the moment myself, I hire a photographer.

In 2023, my journey as a professional motherhood and family photographer in Austin, Texas began when my husband gifted me my first professional camera for Mother’s Day. What started as a heartfelt surprise quickly became a thriving business rooted in documenting growing families.
